Accreditation

Accreditation

Meeting and maintaining Industry Quality and Safety Standards is a core commitment for SPE Polytech.

The Australian and New Zealand Standard AS/NZS1546.1 2018 is recognized by the NSW Dept of Health and other Government Authorities as the requirement benchmark for Underground Pump Stations and Collection Wells.

To gain Dept of Health approval a manufacturer must demonstrate that their designs and manufacturing are audited by an authorised independant organisation who have their own international JAS-ANZ accreditation.

SAI Global (now known as Intertek SAI Global) regularly audit SPE Polytech’s records to ensure that detailed data is kept, to show that each batch test records and files the following information:

  • Wall thickness in eight (8) different locations to ensure that the design thickness is achieved
  • Top load test to ensure that the minimum AS1546.1 top load of 510kg is achieved
  • Drop test to ensure that the required polyethylene material impact strength is achieved
  • Water test to ensure against leakage

About Us

SPE Polytech has been building polyethylene pump stations for over 20 Years. From 250 to 10,500 litres, all of our pump stations are accredited to AS/NZS1546.1 design and quality standards.

Our fully assembled packages, with pumps, pipes, valves, electrical controllers and all accessories are easy to transport and install. The construction time of a fully packaged pump station is considerably less compared to a built-on-site concrete structure. Another benefit of a fully packaged pump station is quicker installation so extended bad weather conditions have less of an impact on your construction schedule.

With installations throughout Australia, SPE Polytech has also successfully exported to The Solomon Islands, The Republic of Kiribati, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Guinea and New Zealand.
